Cysts tend to develop in individuals with acne or a history of acne. They are benign (non-cancerous) growths that can become inflamed. Surgical removal is the treatment of choice for symptomatic cysts.

A lipoma is a non-cancerous growth of fat cells. A person may have a single lipoma or may have many lipomas and they are very common. They should be evaluated if growing or symptomatic.

Psoriasis affects about 2% percent of people worldwide and can present at any age. Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that typically presents as scaly rough red plaques with an overlying silvery scale.

Rosacea is a chronic rash involving the central face that most often starts between the age of 30 and 60 years. It is common in those with fair skin, blue eyes and Celtic origins.
